Ardan Health Ireland is the Irish edition of our fictional healthcare referral platform, built for a market where GP referrals arrive by Healthlink, funding runs through the HSE and private insurers, and every page has to read as Irish rather than American. It shares the same fourteen templates as the US edition, but the copy, the institutions, the legal framing and the palette are all localised: euros and Irish addresses, HSE eligibility and insurer pre-approval, GDPR and the Data Protection Commission, and a calm palette of moss green, warm stone and amber drawn from Irish materials.

The brief
An Irish healthcare referral site that never reads as American
The risk with a localised healthcare site is inheriting the wrong country: dollars, US insurers, HIPAA, ZIP codes. Ardan Ireland keeps the product story intact but replaces every institution, price, law and habit with an Irish one. Referrals arrive by Healthlink, secure email and fax, not just fax. Funding checks run against HSE eligibility and private insurers such as VHI, Laya Healthcare and Irish Life Health. The legal copy follows GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, with the Data Protection Commission named as the regulator. The result is a site that a Dublin hospital group or a Galway fertility clinic would recognise as its own.

Designing for Ireland

Brand adaptation
The same Ardan Health, with a local accent
Moss green (#2f5d50) carries the interface and links; amber (#C7843B) is reserved for calls to action and emphasis, with a darker amber ink for text on light surfaces. The background is a soft stone (#F4F4EF) with a pale green surface for cards. Literata gives headlines a calm, editorial tone suited to healthcare storytelling; Public Sans keeps forms, tables and navigation plain. Dark panels use a deep green-black (#142124) with a lighter moss for links, so every pairing passes WCAG AA.

Homepage, product and solutions
The homepage opens on a single promise: every referral read, checked and routed without retyping. The hero shows a live queue of sample referrals from Healthlink, secure email and fax, each with a status. Proof points are restated for Ireland: referrals processed for teams in Dublin, Cork and Galway, HSE and insurer rules checked on arrival, and a sample GDPR-ready badge. The most distinctive flow is the fax and Healthlink intake demo: a sample referral is split into pages, fields are extracted with confidence scores, missing documents trigger an automatic request to the referrer, and the complete referral is written to the patient system. From there the page moves through the five product capabilities (intake, funding and pre-approval, routing, outreach, analytics), customer stories from Irish providers, and a closing demo booking form.

Compliance, accessibility and trust
- Privacy notice framed under GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, naming Ardan Health DAC (fictional) as controller and the Data Protection Commission as the supervisory authority.
- Sample compliance badges and security claims are labelled as samples, not real certifications.
- Footer disclaimer: Ardan Health is a fictional concept by a design agency, is not a healthcare provider and does not give medical advice; in an emergency call 112 or 999.
- Passes automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on every page at 360, 390, 768 and 1440 px: no contrast failures, no unreachable controls, no horizontal scrolling.
- A language switcher built from
hreflangsits in the header on desktop and in the footer on phones.
One system, twelve markets
Every visible string lives in one region pack per market (copy, data and alt text), and every colour and typeface in one theme file. This edition needed no new templates or components: a region pack, a theme, local data and legal content made it a different brand experience. For a health-tech company with international plans, a new market becomes a content project rather than a rebuild.

FAQ
How is an Irish healthcare referral site different from a US one?
Referrals arrive by Healthlink, secure email and fax rather than fax alone; funding checks run against HSE eligibility and Irish private insurers; legal copy follows GDPR and the Data Protection Commission rather than HIPAA; and the emergency line is 112 or 999.
Can one website design serve Ireland and the US?
Yes. Ardan shares fourteen templates across editions. Ireland inherits British spelling from the UK edition and overrides every institution, price, law and place that is genuinely Irish.
Does the site claim real compliance?
No. Compliance badges and security statements are samples for the concept, and the privacy page says so plainly.
