Mehra & Iyer India - law firm website design for a Bengaluru-led practice
Mehra & Iyer India is a 230-lawyer firm with five offices: Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Mehra & Iyer India is a 230-lawyer firm with five offices: Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. It speaks the language of Indian law: Companies Act 2013, SEBI, CCI, IBC, High Court and NCLT, fees in lakh and crore plus GST, and a DPDP-ready footer with a Grievance Officer. The design keeps the editorial warmth of the original and adds the proof Indian clients expect: rankings, deal values and named partners.

The brief
Built for how Indian clients brief counsel
Indian clients shortlist by practice, partner and office, and they expect rankings, deal values and direct contact details before the first call. The edition rewrites the home page, people directory and practice pages around those habits. It adds a DPDP-compliant privacy policy with a named Grievance Officer, an equal-treatment statement, and a footer with a demo CIN. Deal values move to crore and lakh, and the legal vocabulary moves to Indian institutions: SEBI, CCI, IBC, Companies Act 2013, High Court and NCLT.

Brand adaptation
The same Mehra & Iyer, with a local accent
Deep ink carries the text and dark panels, warm white and a soft sand tone carry the page, and amber marks links, eyebrows and numbers. Eczar and Mukta both include Devanagari, so a Hindi edition can follow without a new type system. The descriptor stays LLP, the entity form Indian clients recognise.

Homepage and key journeys
The home page opens on a full-bleed hero of the Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall in Bengaluru, followed by a firm-stats split (230 lawyers, five India offices), a practice-area preview grid, a dark testimonial band quoting a Nifty 50 general counsel, a people preview and an insights preview. Every section reveals on scroll. The distinctive flow is the practice-area directory: filter by Corporate & Finance, Disputes & Regulatory or Industries, then open a practice detail with an accordion of focus areas and a contacts module naming the relationship partner in Bengaluru or Hyderabad.

Compliance, accessibility and trust
- Privacy policy under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, naming Mehra & Iyer LLP as Data Fiduciary, with a Grievance Officer and the Data Protection Board.
- Equal treatment statement: no instructions excluding clients by religion, caste, community, gender, marital status or nationality.
- Footer with a demo CIN, a Grievance Officer email and links to Privacy policy, Terms and Grievance redressal.
- Bar Council of India advertising rules: no solicitation, no claims of superiority, no comparative advertising.
- Passes automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on every page at 360, 390, 768 and 1440 px: no contrast failures, no unreachable controls, no horizontal scrolling.
- A language switcher built from
hreflangsits in the header on desktop and in the footer on phones.
One system, twelve markets
Every visible string lives in one file per market, and every colour and typeface in one theme file. This edition needed no new templates or components: a strings file, a theme, regional photography and local legal content made it a different brand experience. For a law firm with international plans, a new market becomes a content project rather than a rebuild.
