Mawqid UAE: a multi-brand restaurant website for Dubai and the Emirates
Mawqid Brands FZ-LLC runs four quick-service restaurant brands from its Dubai headquarters, from Southern fried chicken to hearth-baked pizza.

Mawqid Brands FZ-LLC runs four quick-service restaurant brands from its Dubai headquarters, from Southern fried chicken to hearth-baked pizza. As a multi-brand restaurant digital agency, we built the corporate site that holds them together: one design system, 16 page templates and a content file per market. The UAE edition speaks the language of the Emirates: Dubai and Abu Dhabi addresses, AED pricing incl. VAT, MOHRE and Dubai Municipality references, and a Ramadan-aware tone.

The brief
Warm, premium and built for the Emirates
The UAE site had to keep four very different brands feeling like one family while reading as a Dubai company, not a translated US one. Addresses, currency, dates and institutions all change: AED 176B system sales, Office 1402 at Gate Avenue in DIFC, and references to MOHRE and the Dubai Municipality Food Safety Department. The tone is formal-warm and hospitable, family-friendly and respectful of Ramadan and Eid, with no alcohol-led or nightlife framing.

Brand adaptation
The same Mawqid Brands, with a local accent
Sand, champagne gold and night teal carry the interface, with Cormorant for grand display type and Manrope for crisp body copy. The palette is high-contrast and hospitality-led, with sharp 8px corners for a tailored feel. The Mawqid logomark, a hearth arch holding a single flame, is unchanged, and the wordmark keeps Brands. Arabic typefaces are not yet in the theme, but the content architecture is ready for a future ar-AE edition.

Homepage and key journeys
A full-bleed dining-room hero eases in from a dim zoom, then a slow ribbon of the four brand names leads into a word-by-word statement. Live counters tick up to restaurants, team members and system sales in AED. The page flows into brand cards, strategy, impact and the latest newsroom stories. The most distinctive flow is the newsroom: filter chips for Press, Story, Snapshot and Video work with a brand selector and update instantly, and a shareable ?brand= URL lets each brand team link to its own coverage.

Compliance, accessibility and trust
- Privacy policy under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, for DIFC operations, DIFC DP Law 2020, with cookie accept/reject.
- Footer: © 2026 Mawqid Brands FZ-LLC. Trade licence demo, Dubai. Privacy policy and Terms.
- Prices shown in AED incl. VAT; nutritional and food-safety information follows Dubai Municipality Food Safety Department guidance.
- Passes automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on every page at 360, 390, 768 and 1440 px: no contrast failures, no unreachable controls, no horizontal scrolling.
- A language switcher built from
hreflangsits in the header on desktop and in the footer on phones.
One system, twelve markets
Every visible string lives in one file per market, and every colour and typeface in one theme file. This edition needed no new templates or components: a strings file, a theme, regional photography and local legal content made it a different brand experience. For a restaurant group with international plans, a new market becomes a content project rather than a rebuild.

FAQ
What should a UAE restaurant group website include?
Brand pages for each restaurant, a filterable newsroom, franchise and careers routes, AED pricing incl. VAT, a Dubai contact address and PDPL-compliant consent.
Is the UAE edition ready for Arabic?
The content architecture is locale-ready, with one content file per market. Arabic typefaces and right-to-left layouts are not yet in this edition but can be added without touching the templates.
How do you handle Ramadan and Eid on a restaurant website?
Seasonal copy references iftar and suhoor and reduced hours, and avoids food imagery during fasting hours where appropriate.
