Jemput Singapore: hospitality website design for a guest experience platform
Jemput gives restaurants, hotels and nightlife venues across Singapore one place for reservations, guest profiles, marketing and events.

Jemput gives restaurants, hotels and nightlife venues across Singapore one place for reservations, guest profiles, marketing and events. We rebuilt the site for the Singapore market: local venues, S$ pricing, PDPA 2012 and DNC Registry compliance, and a tropical palette that feels at home in the CBD and the heartlands.

The brief
Hospitality first, software second, Singapore edition
The US site sold a complex product with US venues and US references. For Singapore we kept the story but swapped the proof: 9,000+ venues across Singapore, island venues instead of coastal ones, S$ figures, and a Singapore Diner Report built on 10,000 local diners. The legal layer follows the PDPA 2012 and the DNC Registry, with a Data Protection Officer named in the footer. The design stays immersive and editorial, but the palette and type now read tropical and modern rather than New York.

Brand adaptation
The same Jemput, with a local accent
The Singapore edition keeps the black-and-white confidence but warms it: white paper, a pale sage panel, coral accents and a deep night green for dark bands. Plus Jakarta Sans, designed in Southeast Asia, carries headlines; Inter keeps body copy plain and readable. The descriptor stays guest experience platform.

Homepage and key journeys
The homepage opens on a full-screen dining room in service, with frosted-glass notification cards that drift with the mouse. The Singapore flow adds a local proof band: 9,000+ venues across Singapore, S$30M in revenue attributed, and a case study from Harbor House's six island venues. The Diner Report sits in the content engine, with charts and a sticky chapter nav.

Compliance, accessibility and trust
- Privacy policy under the PDPA 2012, with a Data Protection Officer, customer due diligence and DNC Registry checks.
- Terms of Service for Jemput Pte Ltd, with fees in Singapore dollars and GST excluded.
- Footer with demo UEN, registered address at 1 Raffles Place, #20-01, Singapore 048616, and a Data Protection Officer contact.
- Passes automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on every page at 360, 390, 768 and 1440 px: no contrast failures, no unreachable controls, no horizontal scrolling.
- A language switcher built from
hreflangsits in the header on desktop and in the footer on phones.
One system, twelve markets
Every visible string lives in one file per market, and every colour and typeface in one theme file. This edition needed no new templates or components: a strings file, a theme, regional photography and local legal content made it a different brand experience. For a hospitality-tech company with international plans, a new market becomes a content project rather than a rebuild.

FAQ
How do you localise a hospitality website for Singapore?
Use Singapore venues and S$ pricing, swap US references for local ones, follow the PDPA 2012 and DNC Registry, and localise seasonality from Chinese New Year to New Year's Eve.
Can one design system serve Singapore and other markets?
Yes. The Singapore edition uses the same eleven templates and locale file as the US site, with a tropical palette and local content, so the UK, Australia and UAE can follow the same pattern.
