The brief
One city, five offices, one system
The US site was built for a firm with offices in different states and a federal layer above them. Singapore has neither, so the offices page becomes five city districts: Singapore (CBD), Tanjong Pagar, One-north, Jurong and Tampines. Copy is British English, with local legal vocabulary and no Singlish in brand voice. The contact page routes inquiries by practice area, and the footer states the PDPA position with a Data Protection Officer.

Brand adaptation
The same Lim & Pillai, with a local accent
The warm paper and navy of the US edition give way to a clean white page with a pale mint panel colour and a brick accent. Young Serif brings editorial weight to headlines; Plus Jakarta Sans, designed in Southeast Asia, keeps the interface modern. The descriptor becomes Pte Ltd.

Homepage and key journeys
A dusk view of Marina Bay Sands opens the site. The hero names Lim & Pillai Pte Ltd and the five Singapore offices, followed by a firm-stats split, a practice-area preview grid, a dark testimonial band, a people preview and an insights preview. The most distinctive flow is the offices page: five district cards, each leading to an office detail with local leadership, a Chambers Asia-Pacific quote and office news.

Compliance, accessibility and trust
- Privacy policy under the PDPA, with a Data Protection Officer and consent for marketing.
- Footer with demo UEN and a Data Protection Officer contact.
- Fees quoted in S$ with GST at 9%, stating whether figures include GST.
- Passes automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks on every page at 360, 390, 768 and 1440 px: no contrast failures, no unreachable controls, no horizontal scrolling.
- A language switcher built from
hreflangsits in the header on desktop and in the footer on phones.
One system, twelve markets
Every visible string lives in one file per market, and every colour and typeface in one theme file. This edition needed no new templates or components: a strings file, a theme, regional photography and local legal content made it a different brand experience. For a law firm with international plans, a new market becomes a content project rather than a rebuild.

FAQ
How do you localise a law firm website for Singapore?
Use Singapore law vocabulary (Singapore Bar, MAS, ACRA, Supreme Court of Singapore, IRAS), S$ fees with GST, local addresses and phone numbers, a UEN and a PDPA-compliant privacy policy with a Data Protection Officer.
Can a Singapore site cover several offices in one city?
Yes. Lim & Pillai Singapore turns the offices page into five district offices, so clients can find the right team without a separate site per location.
